Information used
Kart Bay stores account details, verification status, adverts and photographs, favourites, messages, reports, paid-service records and technical security data such as IP-based rate-limit records. Stripe processes checkout information; Resend sends account emails; Cloudflare hosts the service.
Why it is used
We use data to provide accounts and marketplace features, prevent abuse, moderate content, deliver paid features, meet legal duties and improve reliability. The legal basis may include contract, legitimate interests, consent and legal obligation depending on the activity.
Sharing and retention
Data is shared with service providers only as needed to operate Kart Bay or where law requires it. Sessions, verification codes and security records are periodically cleared. Account, listing, message, transaction and legal records are retained only as long as needed for their purpose and applicable obligations.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability, and may complain to Ireland’s Data Protection Commission. Replace this section before launch with the controller’s full legal name, address, retention schedule and privacy contact.
